Maybe give an example of a time if ever when maybe his older brothers hurt him?? and then he can recall how he felt..
If that doesn't work maybe get the teacher to speak to him and the whole class in general how it i snot nice to hurt our friends
Im sorry you are feeling so low but its because you are obviously a great and caring mum. My son hit a child at school and i went through similar - except i burst into tears at the school gates infront of everyone!
Sometimes its just a testing thing they do especially at his age. Tell him how upset you felt when you had explained to him that big boys dont hurt others, they look after their friends. Explain to him that mummy doesnt want to feel sad about this. Perhaps the other child does something that yours doesnt like. Children often do strange things. Im afraid im not much help as my son stopped doing things to the other lad pretty quickly. I agree with mgba - you could always speak to the teacher to see if she can shed any light on the matter. I wish you all the best and please let us know how things turn out.
