I Wonder Why This Number Is Rising So...

My seven-year-old son walked in on my husband and I while we were is a vulnerable position, not the missionary one! He told his sister and she came and quesitoned us about it. We told her that mommies and daddies sometimes sleep naked so that they can be closer together. Only mommies and daddies do this and she should not do it with her brother or with her friends on sleepovers. My daughter accepted the answer, but my son did not seem convinced. Did we do the right thing?

If you start looking sheepish and guilty, your son will pick up on this, and know that you have lied with your 'simple' explanation. Forget about it, and he will too. he may connect when he's old enough to know what you were really doing, but he won;t feel too inclined to demand a retraction (sorry!).
Probably doesn't need saying, but those carefree 'where you want when you want' days have to be put on hold for a few years!
We used to shut the door for privacy but never needed a lock. The boys just understood that when the door was shut over they had to knock and wait for us to call them in. If it was open or ajar then they could just barge right in. Mind you, its been so long (2 yrs separated) that it will probably be me knocking on their doors before i get any action!! lol!
You did the right thing Noodle. Just wait until they are teenagers and they ask you to keep the noise down!!
gef..... dont be naive, my son caught me performing oral sex on his dad. He is only 4 and let out thats disgusting and laughed a lot. He mentioned it a lot, we had to really get it into him that it was only for grown ups and not to let anyone touch his bits. I think you were right to be honest just to keep them safe.
We lock our bedroom door when we are intimate now.
