benadryl for child to sleep

my doctor rec: benadryl for my 2 yr old for sleep problem-just wondering if anyone else had this problem and how they used benadryl?

Hi There, what kinda sleep problem does your 2 year old have? I ask this, because, my 2 year old wasn't sleeping through, and now wakes at 5.15ish. But as she got older, she is now sleeping through, but waking early, and I hope in time she will grow out of it.

Unless there is a medical reason for your lo to not be sleeping, I really wouldn't recommend using any sedatives, your lo's body clock will work its own magic naturally and in its own time.

I know how soul destroying sleep can be, so please don't think I'm being patronising.

my 2yr old is the same wakes at least 5 times in the night ive tried everything putting her down later she doesnt sleep in the day either were out most of the day in the fresh air but no its been like this for months,can you buy it over the counter i might try it myself not every night but need to get some sleep

I used to be a very poor sleaper (30 yrs ago!) my mum used to put the light on and give me some toys and leave me to it. I would love to be able to get 8hrs now! Didn't affect me adversely, I am a uni lecturer and am 6ft 3
