Have you tried speaking to his school counselor or the dr that assessed him. They may know some resources you are not aware of.

You should be claiming Disabled Living Allowance (think that's what it is called ~ DLA, anyway!)

My daughter has Aspergers Syndrome & although we aren't entitled to any benefits I do know of families with ADD or Autism involved who do claim this. You should also be able to back date your claim to when your child was diagnosed. Check it out!

DLA stands for Disabilty Living Allowence, my brother has got Dispraxia, a speech and language disabilty and he gets DLA every month, my mom used to get it but when he turned 16 a couple of months ago he got it into his account.

You may be entitled to this.

hi my son is autistic and we claim dla, you need to speak to your social worker, they helped me

I am sure your son is entitled to DLA. The forms are very confusing but it is the way you fill in the form (the words you use) to get accross your son's disability that is important. Google the national autistic society (which encompasses ADD, Autism, Dispraxia, Aspergers etc) and get in touch with them and they will send you notes on how to apply for DLA.

You also need a teacher or someone who knows about your son's condition to do a report for you on your son's condition and the difficulties he encounters.

Good Luck

i have 2 children with adhd and i grt dla for them go to your gp or whoever your your child is under for his add good luck
