are Baby Bjorn baby carriers worth the money?

due to my son being disabled if i take out him and my new baby after its birth i will need a baby carrier as my son is in a wheelchair. I will be using it frequently and for long periods so need a decent and comfortable one to use when my partner is at work. I have read many reviews of the baby bjorn cariers and they always come out tops, have any of you tried one?

Perhaps you could go to a big baby store like babies are us or a larger mothercare and try a few out.

Got one and bags from them, like everything else they do wear and tear the canhing bag i got cost �70 odd and the zip broke within 4 months honestly with baby stuff i think you buy middle range and replace, nothing last long

Can't comment on the Baby Bjorn but we've got a BushBaby Cocoon carrier, and I can honestly say it's the best bit of baby gear we've bought so far! I find it very easy to use & really comfortable (Pid Junior came in to the world at 9lbs & is now up to 11lbs).

Junior has fallen asleep in it every single time I've taken him out in it. And this is where the best feature comes into pIay: it's designed so that it can be strapped into the car seat without taking your baby out of it - which means they carry on sleeping all the way home!

The other good thing about it is the harness & the carrier are in 2 separate parts, which makes it a lot easier to put on if there's no-one to give you a hand.

I bought two baby bjorn carriers so me and my mum could take my twins out without the hassle of a double buggy. I found it very uncomfortable, and in the end bought two seperate buggys. It caused me a lot of back pain even though they were light babies. Its also awkward for when you want to sit down and have a break (coffee or lunch for example). The babies head seems to be very close to my clothes which worried me incase I smothered them (unlikely but still possible)

I looked at them (for when my grand son stays) but was put of by the price (�50 up). Got one from Mothercare for �20 and it does the job brilliantly and he loves it. Suggest you actually try some out in the store with baby to see how easy & comfortable they are in practise.

I've never used a baby bjorn carrier but I bought a cheaper version when my son was newborn. I can honestly say it was one of the best baby things I bought. Because he was close to me I felt a lot safer when I took him out. When he got to six months old I bought a bigger one but they are great

Just wanted to add the bigger one that I bought was a mothercare own brand one. The straps were thick and padded with an extra strap to go around your waist to support your back. Another good thing about it was you could have your baby facing you, outwards and you could also breastfed them while they were in it aswell although I never tried that one. Hope this helps.
