Assisted Dying, Here's Where It...
News4 mins ago
Had a scan 2 weeks ago at 6 weeks and 4 days, babys heartbeat was good and strong. Today, another scan 8 weeks 4 days and told my baby is dead.
I keep thinking the scan is wrong - the heart beat will be back. Is it at all possible having had an transvaginal scan, they got it wrong,or that this type of scan could harm the baby? Please, if anyone has gone through this can they give me some advice. Thank you so much

I had to have a D+C and even after that i thought what if it was wrong, but i don't think so in reality. I don't know what a transvaginal scan involves because i didn't have that, but if you really feel strongly, then you could ask for a second opinion although i can't see it being wrong its just very difficult to accept. If you need some help getting through this, as i did, then get in touch with these people. They are the ones who brought me out the other side.

sorry to say it wont be wrong, i had to have a transvaginal scan for my dating scan as the regular scan wouldnt pick up the heartbeat. They dont harm the baby either, i am afraid it was one of those things that cant be explained or blamed on anything.
Sorry for your loss, losing a baby is such a hard thing. x x x
happened to me a month ago too. kept thinking they were wrong and still felt the syptoms e.g sickness for a week or so after.
they say its just one of those things, which isnt what u really want to hear but it is true.
the way i look at it is that there was obviously something wrong and it wasnt meant to be.
keep ur chin up, hard i know, but time does ease. speak to ur doctor if ur worried about future pregnancies to put ur mind at ease, or even a councellor because u have suffered a loss.
hope this helps. take care xxxx
