Spirited toddler

I have just learned that my 17 month old little girl is "spirited ". Does anyone have any advice on how to handle this because i'm at the end of my tether, she is wearing me down.

Try the forum/message boards on the baby whisperer website, there are lots of other mums in the same position offering all sorts of advice. As far as I understand it, spirited means they know what they want, are pretty independent and can be difficult to manage sometimes!

I too had a ' spirited ' 17 month old ....she is now a spirited 12 year old!!!
I find that children like this need boundaries with which to behave within. But enjoy your child...it's hard work but lots of fun !!!

I have a 2 year old who was such a pain that I ended up going back to work just to get away from him Then I discovered a cd called Love & Logic Magic for Early Childhood. It helped me stop temper tantrums in stores, throwing fits at home and ect. I have even learned how to get him out the door without any hassle.
