need some advice....

whilst i was waiting to pick my daughter up from school, i seen her being kissed by a boy, she's only 13, and it was only a peck on the lips, do i ask her who it was or do i waite until she tells me or do nothing.....

I would ask her but in a casual way. I have always chatted to my daughters who are 14 and 16.

Its got to the point where they tell me now cos they know i will find out or guess from their faces!!

13 is a hard age as they want to grow up etc but I would say keep the lines of communication op en all the time.

They all seem to kiss and hug each other these days,especially girls,when they're just saying hi and goodbye. I wouldn't make a big thing of it but I would say'who was that guy I saw you with the other day?' If she gets all secretive about it then maybe she has a new boyfriend and doesn't want you to know yet. Anyway,she is 13, and loads of 13 year-olds date nowadays.Just make sure she's being sensible, it may be time for a ' little chat'.

Nothing wrong with a quick kiss! so she has a boyfriend, no big deal there, just make sure she is educated on sexual matters and make yourself approachable so she can discuss things like boys, relationships etc without you being shocked, maybe try telling her about some of your early goings on with boys at her age or whenever.

Awww leave the poor girl alone- dunno about your daughter but i'd have been mortified if my dad started questioning a more than likely innocent kiss from a lad when I was 13.

I wouldnt worry too much. I mean she is a teenager. I would still mention that you saw a lad kissing her though and if she wants to tell you she will, if not, just let it be for now. I got the shock of my life when i picked my niece up from her school and saw another girl kissing her .lol. She just said it was her friend and thats what they do...

Are you her Mom or her Dad? If you're her mom I'd ask her in a jokey way, if you're her dad I'd say nothing to her but ask your wife to speak to her. When I was 13 (what a good memory!!) I would have died if my dad had seen me kissing a boy.
