i have 2 teenagers, they do spend a couple of hours on the computer.but through the holidays they both had jobs in hotels?they also went down to the beach and they walked 3miles.im afraid yours doesent sound like a very healthy lifestyle.do yourself a favor and try to break this never ending cycle.you will fell a lot better for it.
Welcome to Groundhog Day Teen Style rofl.
Its sadly very typical, but the only way to break it is as Vinny has shown by getting them to try a holiday job.
Best of luck.
I'm a teenager....thats exactly what I do but when I go back to school next week it will change. When we have time off school we just want to relax because we know that before long we will be doing tests that could affect our lives in the future....
YEAH I GUESS ITS A TOUGH TIME AT YOUR AGE.WITH EXAMS ETC.BUT THINK OF ALL THE COMPUTER GAMES YOU COULD BUY IF YOU HAD A LITTLE JOB AT THE WEEKENDS.ISNT MRS CHEEKS NICE.
Funny how most teenagers turn into normal adults in the end! I can remember being like this in my teens and that was a very, very long time ago. PS No computers then though!
It's natural for teens to do this... All I do in my house is clean my room, look after my two pets, play on my pc and eat and drink. As Liam says, we just want to relax before going back to school, because we will have exams and teachers moaning at us.
I'm 21 and I still do that! Except I don't get out of bed all day sometimes, I just lay there with my fella and we can't summon the energy to move so we just watch telly all day and before we know it it's night time again and we fall asleep! It's all about relaxation. Rather than going out spending all of your money he is at least staying in! We do that a lot when we are skint. We haven't grown out of it yet and we are total slobs naturally I think! Hopefully when we "grow up" we may grow out of it!!
I used to spend all morning watching 'Vanessa' and 'Richard & Judy' when I was a teenager before we got a computer. I think it's just something you grow out of. Sorry - I know they're probably driving you mad!
