what is the best way to stop my boys fighting one is 14 and other 17 they really fight most of the time ..drives me mad .! in the car in the house they cant walk past each other with out one hitting the other ...

Sachs has the right idea, they need to do something where they have no choice but to rely on each other - can you send them of camping somewhere remote - give one the tins of beans and the other the can opener, one the tent and the other the poles etc - they will then have no option other than to work together or they freeze and starve.
Other than that, you need to seperate them - tell them that you can only keep one of them and you will be judging them over the next week in order to decide which one!

If they fight in the car, you stop somewhere safe and refuse to move until they behave. You could always film them and show them how childish they are behaving.

My two get on great at the moment (age 8 and 7) but I wonder if this is what I have in store when they become teenagers.
