Health Visitor mentioned tea for baby
Hi
I wrote in another post about my 10 month old being slightly constipated and having bleeding the other night and the doctor had said to reduce her iron intake
I went to the health visitor yesterday to discuss her meals and everything was fine with that and putting her on cows milk now
On walking out she said to mix in tea with her milk. I was like i might give it a try and never questioned it
Just googled it now and it all makes sence. Found tea reduces iron absorption and thats what the doctor said. So that is what the HV would've been meaning but never explained it
Has anyone given their young ones tea for this reason?

In SA you can get "Baby Rooibos" which is organic, and contains no caffeine. It has lots of antioxidants and is very healthy. You use one tea bag to make a 2 litres of tea and then can mix formula into this solution. If on cows milk, you might find the problem rectifies on it's own as you are not giving formula with added iron which can constipate.
