My baby is 8 weeks old and weighs 12 pound. She is always hungry and requires more feeds that she should really be having.

Is it too young to maybe introduce her to baby porridge or rusks. I'm not too sure and don't want to do it too young.

Thanks for advice.

Could I suggest you speak to your health visitor about your babys feeding and thoughts on giving food stuffs?
Current guidlines say that babies souldn't be given any solids until 17 weeks,as their digestion isn't mature enough for anything but milk. Have you tried/looked into giving her a hungry baby milk? - sorry, I don't know much about these.
You will probably find that this is a temporary thing due to a growth spurt. As k8 said, current guideline say 6 months, in my day - not that long ago, it was 4 months, in any case 8 weeks is too early - are you sure that she is just not windy - sometimes this can look like baby is hungry and they will feed but that is not actually the problem. I am presuming that she is on formula and that there is no issue with you not producing enough milk, so in that case you can get formula specifically for hungrier babies - you should never be tempted to make up the formula stronger - this is dangerous for your baby.

Definitely speak to your health visitor for some advice as well.
"requires more feeds that she should really be having. "

all babies are different, what do you think that she needs?

at 8-12 weeks there is a large growth spurt and baby will often changefeeding patterns and increase milk consumption to accomodate.

PLEASE dont give your baby any solids at all without the guidance of a HV. 16 weeks is absolute earliest they would suggest it.

I have 4 children and have weaned at different ages, however, new advise is - the longer you can leave it the better, the age on baby food products has never been before 3 months, i suggest you wait till at least this point. I understand you wanting to make sure your baby has a full tummy, i too have an 8 wk old baby and i'm breastfeeding which feels almost continuous. (feeding now!) Health visitor told me they re now advising making it as close to 6 months as possible!
forgot to say my baby is about 13lb or maybe a few oz more
