so if a 4 year old is put in bed at 11pm each night they are brighter than a child that goes to bed at 7 if tired but may be 8pm the next night?
Same time as who ? Their parents ? The kids next door ?

Hiya poodi, can't remember at that age when bedtime was, but throughout childhood I always had strict bedtimes - did me no harm no harm no harm no harm (;-))

It only says regular bedtimes, but it does say that any child that doesnt have the recommended 11 hours sleep a night runs the risk of falling behind

Hi ttfnx
Seriously poodi - we allways had plenty of sleep and neither Big Sis nor I fared badly in our education whereas as some poor schoolmates did seem to struggle - and they were usually the ones who had odd bedtimes - holidays in term times etc. I am grateful to my mum for our loving upbringing x

Used to get annoyed when mum put us to bed early, especially when the sun was shining, but your right made us more alert, what angers me is when i finish work say 10pm,their are parents dragging their children the shops or supermarkets, when they know its a school day the next day...
couldn't agree more poodi - nor when I hear children out in the street later than they should be with no adult company - what is that all about?
Question Author
It angers me, when i see and hear little ones up and about at midnight when someone has a party or a barbecue..
Lack of routine and discipline = we are all doomed I tell ya!
It angers you poodi?

My God! i hope you're never around my house at Christmas and family parties then when little 'uns are still running riot- you'd have a fit.
I've always been a night person and used to lie awake for hours after my bedtime, and my daughter is the same. I did pretty well at school and she is in the top section of all her classes. There's always a study that tells someone they're doing something wrong.
Yeah, but as my mom said 'you're resting!!'
