I am teaching my 22 month old body parts she knows most of the ones she can see but i am stuck on what to call the vagina (aah ) i am trying to think of something not to harsh to call it i have tried saying " your private " but am not to keen . Any ideas ? thank you

Just wondered. Down my street live a couple who both are deaf and dump. Thsy just had a baby.

Thank you for all suggestions and comments still not sure what word to use. To the people who said my daughter is a bit young to be learning body parts you are right ,but she learnt to say nose and eyes and it continued into a game where she points to the thing's she knows , My daughter loves playing the game lol thank you all again x

I'm just assuming you mean vulva rather than vagina - which is the internal bit. God knows why people get so hung up about naming those parts correctly. I have heard of a child using the term 'money box' when trying to disclose that an uncle was interferring with her and nobody understanding her!!!!!! Just say the right words!!!

Might have been mentioned but when we were children, it was my 'Little girl' and my brothers 'Little boy'as you all agree the best word is the right one.

My son (5) has always called his his 'widgey' and since ahving my daughter almost 2 years ago, it's a 'wakwak', lol not sure why, think my son thought of it, and the we have explained to close family what shes on about when she wanders round telling the she's got poo on her wakwak lol.

We called them front bum, middle bum and back bum. And boys had a toodle. Though my grand daughter is 2 and keeps saying fanny, which is really funny, but her nursery isn't too impressed. oops!
