multiple miscarriages

Ive recently miscarried for the second time. First was at 6 weekd and this one was at 10 weeks. I had been for my ng scan at 8+5 and everythig was fine but I week later I miscarried.
Have others experienced multiple miscarriage? Did you go on to carry full term?

I can't (obviously) speak from experience, but my mother had four miscarriages before she bore me. That was back in the 1930s, if it's any help.

hiya, so sorry to hear this - how heartbreaking for you and partner. When you find out you are pregnant, in your mind you start planning for the baby. people talk about "clumps of cells" but it really doesn't make it any easier - it's a life to you. Some hospitals have multiple miscarriage clinics, but i think you have to have 3 before you are reffered.

i have had 3 and 2 healthy births, but not consecutively!

my advice is to have the clotting blood test and don't try to get pregnant again until you have the gene tests!

loads of people i know have just gone on to have a baby, but if you can have medication/therapy to increse chances it's not worth the heartache!

three times for me and much later... never fell pregnant again but as much due to personal circs and opportunity so I will never know what might have happened ... I do have a friend who carried to term on her fifth attempt.. the strange thing is she was convinced the first times were boys...she finally had a girl without any hitches (no science in that I suspect )

actually, with some inhertited conditions, the sex of the baby can play a part! worth looking into a referral ...

My eldest had a daughter, lost 2 babies at 8 weeks and 6 weeks and then went on to have another girl, we thought it was because she was maybe carrying boys, but she is now pregnant with twins, boy and girl, all is fine she is 26 weeks. I know it's heartbreaking, but it can be worth to keep trying .Good luck to you.
