i have block paved my front driveway so has my neighbour and drivers think its perfectly fine to turn around on my drive now when it was grassed they wudnt dream of driving up on it to turn around so why do they think its ok to turn on it cos its paved , i wud never dream of turning my car around on someones drive i think its very bad manners and cheeky it realy annoys me when ppl do it i stand in my window and glare at them lol i wish i had a button that i cud press and spikes would pop up and burst their tyres does anyone else get annoyed by this by the way theres a rd next to my house that they cud use !
Wow - stream of consciousness rant :) Punctuation is your friend, and I think you might need to take a deep breath now :)
I can't say that I get annoyed about something like this, unless it were to be happening daily, or endangering my property, in all honesty. Quite like the idea of remote- controlled spikes though! :)
it does happen daily and gates would stand out like a sore thumb as im in a terraced house i dont write things on here with punctuation im not writing a letter lol
No but you're still writing something you want people to read. And, though I may be the exception here, I think it's easier to read things with punctuation than without.
If you can't invest in a gate, a "No turning" sign may have to do. Then at least people know whether or not they're going against your wishes.
i agree its nothing major but i just think its so rude i never do it and as i said if i had left it grassed they woudnt do it so why do they do it after ive paid alot og money to block pave it , the day we had it done cement was still wet and a van came and turned on it tyre print still there i actually ran put house to have him but wasnt quick enuff
Indeed they would, Nibble - Tire Shredders sound cool :)
Tezmand - the punctuation isn't for you - it's to help us lot decipher the stream of words :)
In this instance, the lack of it did express rather well your exasperation :)
Do you know why it is your house that is being used like this so often? Why are so many people finding the need to turn around near your house?
As above, I would get a sign saying something along the lines of "Private. No turning". I'm amazed it happens every single day. Are that many people going the wrong way and then need to quickly turn around? :-/
Incidentally - I love the image this sentence conjures up
"the day we had it done cement was still wet and a van came and turned on it tyre print still there i actually ran put house to have him but wasnt quick enuff" :)
Still sounds a bit of a puzzle why so many seem to feel the need to turn around on your road though...
