about 6 mmonths ago I had a scan and was told I had pcos but I wasn't given any information about it and everything I find on the internet just says to lose weight which I don't want to do. I just want the paid to go I take painkillers and heat pads but it's still there. I can stand for over half hour as the pain gets bad I struggle to sleep and sometimes it can get bad enough that I have to curl up and can't move.

It's sad you haven't been more help from whoever diagnosed you , maybe go back and ask for it.

Also Google PCOS Help groups - there are many and there you can discuss with others who are affected for things that may help.

It must be miserable for you.
There is a charity for PCOS (I think it's called Verity) and you should be able to get info there.

It can cause problems with the way that your body deals with insulin and, as a result, you are at risk of becoming diabetic. Losing any excess weight will help a lot with this problem.

Have you been back to your GP about the pain? That's the best place to get help and advice.

I have been to my go quite a lot of times. Growing up I was told it would pass now I'm bbeing told to take paracetamol which isn't helping. My mum is trying to get the insurance sorted out so I can see another doctor but it feels like everyone just tells me to wait and see which is so frustrating. Feels like I'm slowly losing my life
By now you will have Googled the problem.
My only concern is the pain that your are experiencing which is not usual with PCOS and may indicate a cyst on the ovary.

I agree with wolf 63, go back to your doctor and relate my concern.

I went to the doctors, he said I could be pregnant I said I wasn't. Did a test for him. It was negative. He basically said that he wants me to come back to take another one in a few weeks. So now I feel back to square one where no one is listening to me.
