pcos
I have recently been diagnosed with PCOS after trying for a baby with my fiance for over a year, im 24 and he is 30.
we have been told that he has got poor motlity and are awaiting the results of further tests before they will start us any treatment.
i am finding this really difficult to cope with this at the moment, as we have been together for 5 years, have a nice home together and both work full time, and the only thing that would complete us even more is a family.
I weigh 9stone (size 10)and am 5 foot 3. Would losing some weight help or changing my diet? Could do with some help and a bit of a pick me up!! I know Im only 24 and still have a few years of trying, but with my partner being 30 i am thinking that maybe its not to be. When my partner was a toddler, he had an undescended testicle which was operated on, but has never fully dropped, and have been told by some people that this could decrease his fertitliy? Any advice

What would concern me more is your partners poorly swimmers. But there is loads that can be done nowadays and as u said they are doing tests, so at least they are doing something. Trust me when the little ones come u probs would have wished for a couple more years to yourself, so chill out and all good things come to those who wait, (says me whos been trying for ages and getting thoroughly P****ed off lol) Good Luck hunny and dont let it stress yah too much.
Thanks for that. it certainly makes me feel a bit better knowing that people who have been diagnosed have gone on to conceive naturally. At the moment, i think what is stressing me out is the not knowing what they will be able to do about the pcos and finding out for definite about my partners swimmers! it seems like once i get my head round one thing, something else pops up and im back to square one again and having to not think about it all the time!!
I am back seeing the specialist on 17th oct where hopefully they will be telling me the results of all of the tests we have had done, and then maybe we can get some medical help to push things along!!!! Fingers Crossed

Hi Kimbokoo
my thoughts are with you, i also have PCOS my husband and i have been trying for 2 years with no joy. has the doc started you on metformin? which is meant to help regulated menstrual cycles. that didnt work for me but i've started taking a herbal tablets called Ovulex which is meant to encourage ovulation.

I havent been put on any treatment yet. We are back at the specialists on 17th Oct where hopefully, they are going to give us the results of my partners tests, and tell us what they can do for us and what treatment can be given to help us.
How long do they give each treatment to work before they put you on something else?? Its such a long and heart breaking process. Are the herbal tablets you have started subscribed or are they something that you have found yourselves. And more importantly are they working??
