cervical stitch

ive had a little boy 2 yrs ago and had a stitch put in at 14wks had it removed at 36....im 7wks pregnant and will b havin another stich at 14wks due 2 an incompetant cervix....any1 else gon thru the same and did the stitch worl 2nd time round? with my 1st stitch i was in hospital 4 10wks tryin 2 keep hold of the little rip lol! hopin not 2 stay in as long this time

i have my first cervical stitch and just come back from a scan, my stitch is quite high, so its working better than my friend whose stitch is lower down, she has been in hospital on bedrest, whereas i am now 31 weeks and have had no problems.

stressful isnt it! Although i havent had to have bed rest we have had a couple of scares off our little lady! I thought i would relax as i got further on, no chance!

very stressful with harry it was a nightmare i had 2 stitches in the end 1 at 14wks an one at 24wks started funnellin im opin wen i have this stich it all goes ok an i dont have 2 stay in ozzy id hate 2 leave my likklboy!!! i must admit once i got 2 thirty wks with arry i did start 2 relax a bit....av u lost any b4 this one i lost 3 my latest one was at 24wks felt blessed wen i got harry im just bin greedy now lol!!!

i lost my first at 24 weeks, my 7 year old was born at 26 weeks, they dont know how he managed to stay put for that bit extra as i have a true incompetent cervix, i didnt think i would ever have another child and did begin to think about it when i met my partner, this little one had her own ideas though!
I was told i had to have 3 prems before anything would be done but i insisted on some answers and evetually had a coloscopy which revealed my incompetent cervix.
I know what you mean about leaving little one, i hated staying overnight for my stitch and dread the thought of a c-section as i would be away for 3 or 4 days, he doesnt care, its me!

my cervix is incompetant i lost 2 then had one with harry its jsut one big nightmare frm start 2 finish i just cant enjoy it no in wots cumin weve got 2 b special an different!!!!. its nice 2 no that there is sum1 in the same positon as me u always think ur alone... its nice 2 hear that ur stitch is workin an uve not had 2 b on bed rest there is hope 4 me!!! do u no wot ur havin have u bin scanned wkly as there bin any change in ur cervix? with harry my waters started funnellin at 24wks hence the second stitch but stayed the same till i had him at 36wks

i have only had 5 scans in my whole pregnancy, quite frankly my care has been pants! But i have changed consultants and hope to get better care now!
I havent had any funelling, but they said that with the stitch being high i shouldnt get that, my cervix length has changed, but that is because my baby is lying head down and her weight is making it shorter, but so far it hasnt caused any problems!
I have been quite stressed with this one though, as its my first stitch its unknown to me, and no matter how many people say they are sucsessful i dont think i will relax til my girl is here! She has already been in 6 weeks longer than her brother and i have had steroids so i know she has a much better chance of coming out unscathede, unlike her poor brothers.
