I have been with my partner for a number of years and he has always talked about having kids but i have never been ready. Recently I have had really strong feelings about having a baby and have asked if we can start trying for one. One minute he says yes and then he changes his mind, he says he is scared. Is this a normal feeling for men.....

Yes! We were discussing having a baby and H was up for it in 2 or 3 years, and when i said it back to him a few days later he said maybe 5 or 6 years, the decision was out of his hands as i found out i was pregnant a week later lol big shock but we have a much loved 15 week old now, please dont just get preggers though!
My friend says i should show all men the website for my baby and they will all want one lol

You will probably find that when you do get preg he will still be the same, you have to remember that they have 9 month to get used to the idea where as it hits us as soon as we feel rough!! He is probably just nervous and maybe doubting himself and his abilities a bit I would just keep talking things over now and again but be carefull not to make it your sole aim in life as he will just back of more, find out what his fears are and reasure him that you are also scared and its perfectly normal but you want more than anything to have children with him and you know he will be perfect when the time comes. good luck xxx
