Josh is very popular at the moment, so reuben would be more unusual.

I am not that keen on either of them..sorry...however if these are your favourite names I would go for Reuben as I know quite a few Josh/Joshuas but no Reubens!

I spent months thinking of names for my fisrt child and then didn't like anything on the list when he was born - he was going to be Alec or Walker - then ended up looking at the graduations list's in the paper in the hospital after he was born and ended up with a choice between Gregor or Craig - he ended up Craig. With my second we didn't even bother to think in advance - then he didn't have a name for the first week and a half - ended up as a choice between Ciaran or Keir - we ended up going with Ciar. So what I am really saying is that it doesn't matter too much whether you pick reuben or josh, because in the end you'll probably end up calling him Jacob!

My poor firstborn wasn't named for a fortnight while we argued it out ;o)

I prefer Josh - however register your baby as Joshua if you choose this name... then they have the choice. Also, Joshua will look more "professional" in years to come than Josh - if you get what I mean! Pick what you like best though!

Just see what he looks like after he's born, then decide between Reuben, Josh or any other name!

I had a 'boy' and 'girl' names for my daughter, but when she was born she didn't look like it, so I changed it and it really suits her!

I have to agree though I struggled for my whole pregnancy for a name and everyone kept saying "you'll know when it arrives" I thought "why, will it come out with a name tag?" lol
He was 9 days old before he got a name cause I really really couldnt choose
