Early Pregnancy Indicators?

Does anyone have any stories of early pregnancy signs? I have to wait at least 4 days before i can take a test but am already running to the loo constantly (to pee, not to be sick!) Had the achy chest thing but its wearing off again...... Any other signs?

There is an early pregnancy test you can buy that detects pregnancy a few days before your period would have been due! It's called First Response, and it was very accurate as far as I was concerned.

What alerted me to the fact that I might possibly have been pregnant was very very sore breasts.

Not sure an achy chest as such is a symptom, normally its sore breasts. Every woman is different when it comes to symptoms and they only way to know for sure is to take a test.

Er yeah I meant achy breasts don't know why I said chest! Guess i will have to just wait until i get a test. And i have found the pregnancy section on here now so thanks for your responses!

first response is accurate in 50% of tests, sometimes women dont get a positive until 2 weeks after they miss a period.

I didnt get any pregnancy symptoms until 1 week after missed period with my first and 2 weeks with my second.

aversions to some food can be signs, again these started late with me but i went right off milk, even cups of tea with milk tasted off.

The symptoms can also be the signs of period arriving so its really going to be a 'wait and see game' Im afraid unless a first response gives a positive.

Just remember, you may get a false negative, but it wont give you a flase positive. So if you do try a test now and its negative, try again in a few days. If you get a postive, congratulations!

My very early signs were extreme tiredness and an acute sense of smell

Brown, rather than my usual pink nipples............which supposes that you have pink nipples in the first place :o)

Thanks again for these. Have no idea what colour my nipples are usually?!? Always tired out from being so busy so thats no give away and as for smell my house stinks of gloss paint so that wipes out the smell of anything!

I had way worse period type cramping than normal and I mean WAY worse - it woke me up - must have been baba settling in!

Tiredness & sore breasts were my first symptoms too.

They didn't have such kits back n the 60's & I had to wait a week before I got the results from my GP after my urine test. The suspense was awful, so you're very lucky to have pregnancy testing kits these days!

I had REALLY sore boobs and also pains that were almost like period pains, but not. Apparently this is just the uterus stretching and / or baby settling in but I had these about a week prior to my period due date. As Red has pointed out though, most signs could also be put down to a period so until you get a positive test you won't know for sure. Good luck though x x
