am I going to shave my legs? These are the possible choices 1. In the shower cubicle. Dodgy, not a lot of room and there is the possibility of me falling over. 2. Sitting down in the shower cubicle. Don't know, not sure, have never tried this. 3. In the bath. mrwarpig had to get me out of the bath last time and he is not here. 4. Leg in sink. Probably cant get leg up that far and view is obscured. 5. In basin on floor. Sadly this is looking the most likely. Any suggestions?

Depending on how flat your toilet seat lid is, how about putting the bowl on there instead of the floor.

Alternatively, if the sink is within easy reach for water etc, lay a towel over the toilet seat lid, put put your leg on there and dispense with the bowl.

If you have a shower attachment to your bath taps, stand in the bath, with your foot on a corner (could get slippy though).

Thank you lily, leg on toilet seat would work and that seems the best option. its really weird when you have to consider all the possible options before doing something that you would normally take for granted!
I didn't have to.

The hair on my legs stops growing when I am pregnant, so I shaved early on when the bump didn't get in the way!

I thought it was the same for everyone and it was a miracle given to pregnant women..lol

LOl, lucky you pippa! I have tried 'the hairs will keep my legs warm during the winter' argument with myself but to be honest they are a disgrace, got hairs on them like scallions!
You jammy thing pippa!

warpig, i do mine in bath. i have to put leg on side of bath and stop often due to cramp but i get there.

Anything i cant reach is left for Mr CRX iykwim lol

and if mr warpig isnt about then why not just go natural for a couple of days and wear trousers? lol
Pippa! I am so glad you said that! My... ahem.... five o'clock shadow (stop laughing!) has stopped growing! Unfortunately I am still ape-like elsewhere.

What about trying hair removal cream warpig?

Please be careful though whatever you do!
Question Author
ROFL redcrx, leave it to mrwarpig? Dear God...... no way, no doubt he would find a latent talent for topiary.

Its getting seriously bad now, they are hanging over the tops of my socks (have to tuck 'em in)and as for my 'lady garden', well, I havent a clue what is going on down there! Not sure whether the hairs on my legs are growing up or my bikini line is growing down!
Question Author
Just checked Nat, I do have hair removal cream but its a bit manky, think its been there for a while, yuck. Will go with Lily's suggestion, back in 15 minutes!
pmsl @topiary. wonder what he'd design lol

how about an epilator? If you can use that without flinching you may well be able to cope with just an epidural and pethadine in labour :)
For some reason the hairs on the backs of my legs have stopped but not at the front ?!?

warpig, how about sitting on the edge of the bath with your feet/legs in the bath. Shave away and then rinse with the shower head. That way youre sat down so wont slip and everything should be within easy access.
I now have all sorts of images in my mind of all you pregnant ladies trying to shave your bits.lol.
I remember having to hoist my bump up to do my bikini line. I always did my legs the same way as redcrx says.
Wax!!!!

And a tip if you know you are going to have a ceasarian, get your topiary waxed (not all of it unless you feel that way inclined!!!) otherwise they shave it and it's like wearing tweed knickers when it grows back, you spend the early part of motherhood hiding in a loo scratching your stubble and your itchy stitches, most undignified!!
Oh no I let the *ahem* lady garden grow.

There is no pain like having the midwife get the stitches caught on a pube!
Question Author
Well girls, thank you for all your suggestions, it is done now, foot on loo, water in sink, easy peasy (well not that easy actually but just less difficult)also think I have lost at least a couple of ounces in weight by shaving them too.

Waxing and those epilator things sound way too painful, much more so that child birth which only smarts a bit so I'm told, lol!

*than* childbirth
yep, it just stings for about 2 mins and your eyes water a bit.

Its rather like just having a big number 2.
Question Author
He, he, thats what I thought, be all right after a couple of paracetemol and a snooze.
Blimey red that must have been painful.

I had my last one while I was doing the washing up. The only pain suffered was when Mr P tripped over the baby and sprained his ankle as he was going out to the shed.
Sounds like a blast, I don't know what I was ever worried about LOL
Hi Warpig3!!

Well, my answer's a bit of a cop out really but I got Mr sugacane to do it!!

Before my bump got really big - and boy what a bump, I was MASSIVE - I used to put my foot up on the toilet seat and angle it to the side I wanted to shave. But when I got huge it was just so much effort, huffing and puffing and only having 1 side shaved(!) that in the end I just wore leggings and my Ugg boots all the time - lucky it was winter!!

You'll be surprised how much your hubby will help and I'm sure Mr Warpig will have no objections to doing it for you.

Legs are one thing but I had to draw the line at Mr sugacane's offer to do my "Lady Bits" I just couldn't deal with that kind of mortification!!!! (",)

Good luck!

x
