Heart beating really fast!
34 Answers
Hello ladies.
I am 23 weeks now (well I will be tomorrow) and I can really feel my heart beating fast today, I feel a bit giddy like I haven't eaten for ages (trust me - I have).
I have an appt with my GP at 4pm, it's just a routine check up but will mention it with her anyway.
Does anyone else experience this?
How are you all getting on?

Check with your GP anyway but its possibly just because your body is having to work harder to get blood to you and baby and theres more blood circulating.
at 21 weeks Im getting kicked a lot and feels like baby is moving furniture in there or something, that in itself makes me feel dizzy and strange.
Ive also thrown up today which is only the 5th time in this pregnancy, and i dont like it lol
time is flying by though and Ive now started to look at prams and pushchairs which is driving Mr CRX mad lol

Thanks for your answers peeps.
I am sure it is fine, I am just very warm today and had a busy day yesterday so am pretty tired too.
Sorry to hear you've been sick Red - isn't that supposed to have stopped by now?!
I have been looking at prams and things too, despite telling myself I wouldn't look until AFTER Christmas!

Hi ladies
I am also getting a quick and stronger than usual heartbeat. Ive put it down to having twice as much flowing around my body and knowing my blood pressure is fine, Im not getting bad headaches and knowing I had this last time round, Im not too worried myself. If you are worried, give your midwife a call or go to your doctors surgery and ask for your blood pressure to be taken just to check.
Im now 28 weeks and getting fed up of people asking me how long I have left already! Its not too bad being asked, its the look of shock on their faces when I say because they expect me to only say a few more weeks! lol Its going to be a long 12 weeks! As for being sick, Ive had it throughout the whole pregnancy and Im actually back on anti sickness tablets because it will not go away!
We have made our baby shopping list out but still havent got anything apart from a few blankets and a few outfits Ive not been able to resist! We have everything picked out, pram, crib, etc. We just havent got around to gettting any yet. This is the pram we have finally settled on after lots of looking!

Hello,
I had this when I was in hospital a few weeks ago. I think I was about 32 wks at the time. My blood pressure was fine, but my resting pulse was up to 117!! I could hear my heart beat in my ear and fee it in my eyes after just walking up the stairs to the loo at home. So when they mentioned to me that my pulse was high, they kept an eye on it and my O2 saturation whilst I was in.
Their final remark on the matter was that I have 40% more blood in my body, and my body whilst resting is using as much energy as a hicker climbing a mountain. Me moving about on top of that is sure to raise my pulse a bit. And they didn't have anything to compare it with to before I was pregnant!!
Mention it to you're doc just in case you're blood pressure is high because that can be a totally different matter!!
Good luck :)

I feel like Ive climbed a mountain after doing something simple like turning over in bed! lol
Your poor friend red! Luckily once I got past the 5 month point, I was pretty much able to eat what I wanted again and I have a good appetite. But thats due to the tablets as before I went back on them, I was having to force myself to eat the tiniest amount! Also, dont take for granted this pregnancy for you being different may mean youre having a girl. Both my pregnancies have been the total opposites....... both girls.
I think its finally sinking in that Im having another baby! Only taken 28 weeks for it to do so! lol

Hello again ladies :-)
I had doc's at 4pm, she found a low level of protein in my wee sample and said she would send it off for analysis but it may just be contamination as I don't have any symptoms of a water infection and my blood pressure was fine. I got to hear baby's heartbeat again and she both theirs and mine were nice and strong so pleased with that :-)
As others have mentioned, doc thinks that increased blood volume probably caused the faster heartbeat, but by the time I was at docs it was back to normal and that was following a brisk 15minute walk in the cold so I am not too worried.
We don't have a pram in mind yet, my fella doesnt really like looking. It's our first and I think he is playing it safe, we agreed we'd look after Crimbo, so Boxing Day I will be out there!
What name did you have in mind for a boy Psy? We have Theo for a boy, and Bella for a girl.

Glad alls well natalie, dont worry too much about the protein in your sample as that can just be picked up from discharge that may get caught in your wee. Take a mid stream sample to ensure that hasnt happened if you want in future.
you may well get some good bargains pram wise in the sales! I waited until after my 20 week scan with my first and then ordered a pram to arrive just before due date. This time things seem to be moving quicker so Im doing things a lot sooner i suppose lol
