I'm going to try for baby no 2!!
I am so excited so please bare with me! My hubby has at last agreed we should have another child so I have a few questions for you all.
1 - How long did it take for you to fall on?
2 - What is the age gap between your children if you have more than 1?
3 - Is the birth just as bad or worse than 1st time round?

I fall pregnant at the drop of a hat it seems. My first I was still on the pill and my second I fell as soon as we decided to stop using protection!
There is 7 years and 1 month between my two girls.
I was induced and then had an epidural with my first but only had gas and air and 1 shot of pethedine after going into labour naturally with my second. I would say the contractions were so much more painful and closer with my second but then having had the epidural with my first, I really cant compare the two. I dont know how bad it would have got with my first. The second labour was quicker though.
Remember, dont try gettign pregnant, just enjoy letting nature take its course :)

My two are 13 months apart - and it obviously didn't take long!
It took two years to get get pregnant the first time, so we left it to chance thinking that 2 years semmed like a good gap - but there you go, I went back towork from my maternity leave already pregnant.
As for the birth, I had a 3 day labour and ended up with a section the first time. The second time, I had a planned section as the same circumstances were likely (large baby, lying back to back) with the added complication of a recent section scar. So for me the 2nd time was a lot easier ;0).
Have fun trying!!!!

hi tigwig.
wiuth my first i fell within 6 weeks of meeting mr CRX, so that was pretty quick.
with my second, we werent trying to conceive but often we couldnt be bothered with protection. Mind you, a baby is a pretty good contraceptive lol. I fell pregnant just after my first babys second birthday.
labour with first was 6 hours after being induced at 42+3. I had no pain relief and it was quite heard going. With this one, you may have seen the posts, i woke at 12.50am with a tummy pain and made it to hospital 5 mins before giving birth at 2.40am. again no pain relief, i even forgot to take the paracetomol Id got out of cupboard before i left for hospital .

hi tigwig my boys are 10 and a half months apart. the second one was not meant to happen that quick but it did and i wouldnt change it for the world now. so as you can see it took 6 weeks for me to catch again . my second was alot easier as i had a planned section due to him being small and breech, he came out at 37 weeks. my first was a 26 hour labour and then a section it was a knightmare.
we are now trying for another one although i have been on the injection for 2 years so may take a while. i have come off it now so its just a waiting game now,
good luck with everything x

thanks for all your answers! Cazz as you've probably guessed the midwife training will be going on hold again!!
spudqueen I thought I had spelt that wrong, never mind!
I guess it does sound funny cos only a few days ago I posted about my hubby not wanting a baby and now he does! He isn't as keen as I am but that is him all over, never seems excited until the last minute. The real reason I wanted to become a midwife and work in neonatal units I realised was because I really wanted another baby but didn't want to admit my feelings because I didn't expect my hubby to change his mind. Now he has it is like something has been released in me! I can think of nothing else I just hope I do fall on soon and have a healthy baby not bothered what sex it is.
