hello, me and my partner are trying for a baby, ive just came off the pill, were both in our early 20's, we have regular sex, just wondering if anyone knows of anythink we can do to improve our chances and how long it will take after just comin off the pill, we also sometimes use lube, will this effect our chances also.

to be honest how long is a piece of string! no seriously everyone is so different some people take months even years to get pregnant and others (like my very fertile self!) get pregnant in the first month. they generally say it can take a while for your body to get back to normal after coming of the pill but its not always true. its best to try at your most fertile time obviously which is the middle of your cycle for a few days before and after aswell. around 14 days after you period but it also depends on how regular you are. also when you do it lie with you legs up against the wal to keep the sperm in there for the best chances. other than that i have nothing! its pure luck really, good luck tho and have fun when your sex life becomes just about getting pregnant its very off putting and can make it a stressfull experience instead of enjoyable. your young and have plenty of time for it to happen, im 28 and have a girl age 5 and a boy nearly 3 and i know i probably could have waited a few yrs! wouldnt change them for the world tho and you will feel the same someday!! good luck x

the amount of semen in the first ejaculation is greater than subsequent ones in the same session and could cause dilution so it is best to let his little soldiers regroup before attempting the next assult!
also i've been told you are more likely to catch if you orgasam as well as it effects the cervix (even if that's not true it wont hurt eh!)

hiya, ive heard it can tale years, but having said that.... i was on the pill when i got preg with my first!! i only forgot to take it a coupld of times! lol everyone is different

your best thing to do it find out when u are ovulating, u can get ovulation sticks, bit like pregnancy tests, and they tell you whether you are ovulating, there is only a few days of each month where u ovlulate,

they say its around 2 weeks after your period, tho again everyone is different
