Hi people :) Just thought I'd let u all know i'm going to be a mammy soon! Had another CTG and scan yest as they think baby abit small and i dont have much fluid. There wasn't any cause for concern. Then saw doc and she said coz my blood pressure was high and has been lately and ive been feeling a little ill that she doesn't see a point in hanging around so she did a sweep (which wasn't very nice lol) ive gotta go in to be induced on thurs if i haven't delivered by then. (Im due tomorrow) Well ive had pains since and had like a blob of bloody mucus stuff came out earlier this morn (gross i know) I believe thats the show. I just can't believe I'm gonna have a baby soon, I'm excited and scared to death lol

its always exciting and terrifying all in one go isnt it, i bet your stomach is churning.

Sounds as if you may be lucky enough to go without induction if the show and pains are anything to go by.

How lovely for you shaunzy. Looks like mother nature has started the procedure herself. I`ve had three pregnancies and deliveries and enjoyed them all. It`s the most wonderful feeling when the baby arrives, all the hard work is over and you have someone new to love. Will you post and let us know what you have when you get around to it?My thoughts will be with you. LOL Anne

Well pains seem to have settled down now so maybe aint ready to happen just yet. never mind, at least i know i'll deffo be having baby thurs :)
Yeah it is terrifying and exciting at the same time lol i do keep getting butterflies in my tummy.

oh i forgot to ask.
The doc said i was 2 centemeters dilated when she did the sweep. What does that mean exactly, can u be dilated and still not go into proper labour for days?

yes you can, i was 3cms at my sweep with son at 41 weeks weeks and still went for induction at 42 weeks and didnt give birth til 42+3.

With my daughter i was 3cms at sweep, went home and had show for 2 days, it stopped on 3rd day and she was born early hours of following morning.

Hi Shaunzy, I hope you're packed! That definitley sounds like the show to me. I had a sweep (and they are not nice at all!!) at 40+5, wasn't dialated at all, had pains all that afternoon which, stopped in the evening. Then started having proper contractions the next morning at 8am baby arrived 26.5 hours later!!

Very excited for you, and a little jealous - it's so amazing, I would do it all again this afternoon. Good luck, hope everything goes well! :)

Wow Shaunzy sounds like you are on the way.! Don't forget to keep us in touch with how things are going.(It's ok we dont expect you to take your computor into the delivery ward haha).

So seems I could be waiting til thurs to go into proper labour then. I'm getting pains again but not gonna get myself all excited and into a panic yet as i know they could go away again lol
