Hi all

I am just waiting for the midwife to come round and take out the clips that have been holding together the cut from my c section that I had on Monday. Is this really going to hurt? I'm a bit scared!

Thanks

Why did you have clips? I had a dissolveable running stich which, obviously, dissolved with no pain! Good luck!

Cos he was really big - 10lb 11oz, they had to do quite a big cut. I wish it was the disposable ones!
Picky....advantage of clips is that if one breaks then that is.."no big deal", but if you have continuous and that goes. then the whole lot goes..."big deal"

Large baby, large incision....your surgeon was right to use clips.

Painful to remove?....No.
c- sect I had stitches with both but for major surgery I had clips (staples) 39 of them and it wasn't as bad as i thought it would be - ask the nurse to apply some numbing cream first. Distract yourself by talking to the nurse about anything but! Stay relaxed & calm.

Hi Picky - I guess you have had them out now - hope it went ok. I had clips for both my sections and found them fine to get out - I was more worried that my insides were going to fall out rather than it being sore!
Picky hope it went ok and you're fine now. xx
Hi Picky, hope the clip removal thingy went ok and that you're healing nicely! x

Hi everyone

It was ok, no worse than getting my eyebrows threaded in the pain stakes! Glad I didn't even think about my insides falling out Annie, I was too concerned about it hurting!

Thanks

Just logged on to see if there was any news. Congratulations on the birth of your baby. Have you chosen a name for him yet, we still have no name 4 weeks on.

As you know my little one was 10 pounds 5 ounces, but luckily I had quite a small cut and disposible stitches.Hope you feel well soon.

Sorry, just saw your earlier post and baby's name.
Hi Picky

No pain with removal of M clips at all. X
