My partner is 3 months pregnant and currently working on a hospital ward that is due to close in March. The chances are she will be transfered to another ward , but she's not too happy about that.
My question is , if she was to get an interview for another job has she got a duty or a right to inform them that she is pregnant (in light she will have to finish work in July) or would it be wrong to tell them a few weeks into the job should she get it ??

It is obvious they do it in order to rule out pregnant applicants, although of course they will tell you the reason is something else. She does have to tell her employer a certain number of weeks before the due date - can't remember exactly when though. ACAS had a useful booklet in my time. Off the top of my head it's www.acas.org.uk.
If she applies for a new job within the NHS then it won't make any different if she's pregnant or not. If they think she's right for the job it wouldn't stop them from offering it to her even if she was 35 weeks pregnant. Don't know the policies of other organisations though. Governmental type ones would be the same as the NHS. Its the private companies that may cause probs. Good Luck!
