Sqad has a point when he says it's 'commercial and emotional nonsense'
Why should a father only be made to feel special on this particular day?
These days you can get cards with messages on the front such as 'You're like a father to me', 'Happy Fathers Day to the Dad to be', 'Happy Fathers Day from the dog/cat' etc
We have birthdays when we receive cards/gifts so this is just another excuse to get people to spend money because they feel they have to
redhelen....we are an odd family....we do not judge the success or otherwise of a father by whether the offspring send him a card.....we have other parameters.
