How do I find out???
I hope someone can help, after talking with my mother about War horse, she remembered that there was a photo of her great great grandfather on horseback in the cavalry. The trouble is, we don't know much about him other than his name and that he was from Darby, stationed in Ireland at some point, married an Irish lass, was consequently was exiled to Wales as a result and lived his life here in Wales.
Now, how do I find out what regiment he was in, I have tried Genes reunite but they aren't very good. I do have dates etc... Is there another way? Maybe in military records??
Thank you Pinky?
