I hate ironing and I'm seriously thinking of contacting one of those 'We do your ironing' companies.
Have you ever used them or know someone who has, and are they expensive?

You might find it cheaper giving your clothes to somebody local ie someone needing a bit of extra cash. They usually advertise in the local PO or newsagent's.

there is a laundrette near me that does a big bag of ironing for £5 pounds per bag

I enjoy ironing so I havent tried anywhere out
I'm with 2SP (despite her cake slur), I have an iron somewhere, but not entirely sure where, not used it for years.

I should rephrase that to "I like ironed clothes"

its more about the after than the before
Folk do 2sp - my mother is one; everything has to be pressed. If she is watching tv, her hands have to be occuppied, ironing, tapestries, knitting - not that she can remember doing it or the programmes on the goggle-box.
I agree, there's nothing nicer than seeing a pile of pressed clothes ie the job is done!

Wish I could do that 2shortplanks but I'm one of those that irons everything.
I've tried not ironing certain things especially the ones that are 'non iron' but I always end up ironing them!
Might look in the local paper but I've never seen it advertised before.

I bought one of those big steam generator jobbies and although I don't exactly enjoy ironing now, it's certainly made it more bearable.

There's an ad in my local newsagents, a lady offering to come to your house and do it for you. (Well, not YOUR house, MP, as she doesn't know where you live). :o)
My cleaner does my ironing..................

I'm not 2short..................I'm lazy :-)

I bought one of those steam generators too but I hate it even more with all the steam I get too warm.
Craft, perhaps I should get a cleaner as I hate housework too :-)
Go for it MissPrim.................2 hours a week and the house is cleaned through and all the ironing done.
Ahem I also have a gardener.................
''Collar and chest, and bu66er the rest!'' (Navy term for ironing shirts).
You've not got in on full-bore have you, MP? I can set mine so that you think you're in a sauna, or you can barely notice any steam.
Being a bloke I hate ironing....but I have said to myself this bank holiday weekend, im going to iron all my work shirts in one go!(Ive got about 15 or so) - normally I wash them, and then wear a jumper over the top - but if the weather is getting warmer, needs must

Probably will end up doing 1 or 2, then seeing whats on the telly though....
