Young Children Possibly In Danger
28 Answers
I am very concerned about three siblings - I believe they could be harmed by their mother's new fiancé.
I have scant details about the mother - just her name and town. Who should I contact, preferably anonymously?
I have thought long and hard about taking action and feel I have no choice but to.

What are they in danger from? A paedophile? Someone who may murder them? A kidnapper?
My first port of call would be the police, this call would be logged and then the police could run a background check, organise a raid etc..
Those saying call social services, haven't any of you seen the news? Instances not logged, paperwork lost, the police not being called when they needed to be and there are too many examples but let me draw your attention to the sham which was the Baby p case.
Hc4361, i implore and beg you to inform the police asap for these kids safety as if any harm ever comes to them you may have to live with the result of your actions or indeed inactions for the rest of your life.

Rainbow, that's a ridiculous statement about social services. The things you see in the news are exceptions, which is why they're in the news. The police don't exactly have a sparkling track record either.
I have current, first hand experience of social services doing their absolute best for children considered at risk.

Evian baby, there are KIDS IN DANGER who need HELP ASAP, why go the long route of going through ss when you could get immediate assistance which could save their lives within a matter of seconds by dialing 999 rather than going through several automated phonecalls to get through to ss?
I know what i'd do if children were in danger.

OH was concerned about a situation the other day and called the police. They only called back today, but took a lot of details and are taking the matter seriously. He said he wouldn't be able to live with himself if something happened to a child without at least alerting the authorities. (He didn't know address or names, either)
hc4361 - If this man is a concern then you presumably know something about him. If he has any sort of record for harming children then the police should have him on a register somewhere. If you are just going on a rumour or hearsay then the only way I can see of checking it out is via the police. So either way the police should be your first contact.
