Right, bit long winded. My youngest children get dressed in the same room (boy 9, girl 7, boy and girl 5) which I thought was ok (they are not street wise). Today youngest boy had speech therapy and his teaching assistant was off ill. He told speech therapist that youngest girl had tried to touch my 9 year old son's willy (she is a bit wild and they spar with each other). Speech therapist told teacher, teacher told head. Teacher phoned me at home to tell me and said she had to follow it up because it was an outside person (if my son had said it to the teacher she said she would have had a word with my daughter about not touching boys 'dangly bits'). I have now told the boys they have to get dressed in a different room to the girls, etc. I am almost mortified to go up the school tomorrow with them thinking that my children are running round naked, grabbing each others bits all the time. Is this a problem or am I blowing it out of proportion in my head? (Yes, I do constantly worry that people are judging me for the way I bring up the children and how many of them there are.)

Only just stopped having baths together and that was because most of the water ended up on the floor rather than in the bath not beacuse of nakedness issues.
You want to hear a mortifiying story to make you feel better? :-)
My boy at child minder a couple of weeks ago was acting up a bit and as chance would have it Ofsted woman was there.
She is chatting to the kids and he comes out with this "My Mum hits me" TWICE.
So the lady says "i have to check do you think there is anything to worry about here?" thankfully child minder knows me well and immediatley said there is no problem boy being an idiot (my words).
It made me cry when she told me and took about a day to really get over.
Dont know where it came from or why he said it, but we were this close to having the social round :-S
So kids are kids you seem to be doing a great job and if teachers were really worried there would be peoole banging on the door.
In fact i would let them still get dressed together, just say that sometimes you need to respect other peoples personal space.
Children have to learn how to behave and segregating them will only highlight the "differentness" of boys and girls.

Quick update - speech therapist rang today (to discuss thing 2's progress) and apologised for any embarrassment or distress she had caused me. She completely reassured me that she was being a jobs worth (not her words), but that was the gost of it. Anyway, that's one less thing to worry about (although I expect I was being a bit over sensitive too).
Sharr' you will go thro life meeting jobsworths who pass on information without any value added - like a telephone kiosk....
whereas in fact putting in layers of child protection, they are meant to think....
and the other phrase that drives me crazy is - just - to - sure.
I always think in response o bloody hell
