my mum is one of those people who has to have things perfect. if they aren't she gets mad. her bf is one of those men that you don't know if he is gonna visit you in your room coz he is always calling me and my sis very pretty girls. I don't actually know what to do. 16 and clueless. help!

Douglas, I too take your point and often feel for men today and the assumptions - however all we can do here is to respond to what the OP is saying.

I have tried telling my mum that I don't want people coming into my room when I don't want them to but that conversation ends with someone coming into my room when me and my mum have had a fight. sometimes my sister who just turned 11 or mums bf! its soooo annoying coz no one ever listens to me. this site and school are the only places I feel happy and that people will listen to me

well like I said no one cares and boxtops even if I did go get a bolt it doesn't stop them going in during the school day. I need a lock with a key but I wouldn't know where to start with that!

You are 16. Tell him he stays out of your room or he gets reported to Police. Get some pepper spray and zap him if he walks into your room. Everyone has the right to privacy, heck I knock before going into my 12 year old sons room.Tell your mother she better do something about him as you don't feel safe and have concerns about your younger sister, if she does nothing you will report her to social services. you say on another thread you have had experience of adoption? So this is your adopted mother?

It does if they root around in her stuff, clary - I'll never forget my mum telling me once that she'd read my diary. Not that there was anything to read about, it was just the invasion of privacy.

yes boxtops parents sometimes do root around. I go root around my sons room, check his computer to make sure he's not accessing things he shouldn't and pick up mouldy bits of food. her alleged problem is people coming into her room while she is there, and a bolt would solve that.
