Just been reading an article about pre-pubescent lads spraying L??X deodorants all over themselves. (NB Other deodorants are available) we suffered this with No. One Son, the fumes from this stuff used to roll down the stairs like nerve gas resulting in the cats and dog suffering paroxysmal coughing. Having him in the car necessitated having all the windows open so that we too could breathe. Has anybody else experienced this?
How on earth the teachers coped with the fumes from a classroom full of this from a load of lads I don't know.
In my teenage schooldays most teachers used to stride into the room and immediately order all windows to be opened, it may have been BO or the smell of the hair lacquer (look it up) that we were all plastered with.
I'm a bit keen on keeping windows open myself now......
corylus --- I would say that the Stinx Africa poison in a can smells like a cross between a tramps underpants (soiled) and an abattoir. Must be my sense of smell damaged by this potent stuff over the years. Can also be used as CS spray.
Seriously, it's just a very very heavy musky aroma that lingers for hours in the back of your throat and in your sinuses.
Why people buy this stuff really baffles me. There are so many better sprays you can buy that make the females complement you on your choice of fragrance.
Consign Stinx Africa to Room 101.
I think it's peer pressure too. Within two days of starting senior school, my 11 year old son voluntarily had a bath-first time ever. (for choosing- not first bath ever). And informed me he needed to buy Lynx (and it had to be Lynx). I got him a sensitive skin roll-on, which I don't think he's using. He really doesn't need it yet.
Wolf, he will probably always need prodding for certain things. He often needs reminding to eat as well. He can become so engrossed in a game or activity that he 'forgets' he needs food to survive. The odd thing is that he is practically a genius education wise.
