Have you any other family to support you at this sad time?
jam..I am so so sorry to hear this..having lost my dad 10 months ago I know how you are feeling...I did not think I was going to cope ..but somehow I did..I had my mum to think of so went into automatic pilot..I thought my world had ended and really had to summon up strength to get on with things..and I did..as you will..one step at a time...one day at a time...you need to gather your family for support to deal with the practical issues as well as the emotional needs....do you have a priest/vicar that can provide some comfort ? ...even a close friend just to listen to you..talking ..and crying does help...thinking of you at this most difficult of times...xx
I am very sorry to hear your sad news. What can one say except that you do learn to cope eventually and begin to remember happy times. My Mum died 30 years ago and I still think of her every day. We talk about her all the time. As Ellie says do you have family to help you through.
is your father alive? Sisters or brothers?
Oh Sweetheart, you're in shock - you'll cope somehow because you must.

Give yourself some time and get someone with you as soon as you can.
You will cope, eventually. I know you won't believe me but you will cope. It will take time though. x

I have a brother, but he is more practical than me and will just get on with things. My Mum was my life and I was with her when she died today and it was so hard. She suddenly looked at me and took her last breaths. I can't believe it, this feeling is horrendous. I lost my Dad last summer too. I've rang her friends who loved her and they were so kind, but I'm still sat here along grieving. Thank you SO MUCH for all your kind replies.
jam..do not be alone..get a friend or neighbour to sit with you...talk talk talk..and grieve...cry shout and scream..get angry..it is perfectly normal and acceptable..wish I was nearby...coming on here also helps..AB helped me through my first very long night...xx
A day at a time.
Those who have been through it know it can be devastating, but one grieves for a period and gradually learns to cope and continue. One never forgets but eventually it no longer hits you most of the day, and then you are starting to heal. Believe this and hang on in there. Nothing ever stays unchanged forever and for sure this low point will pass.

I have been shouting and crying and screaming mm. I simply can't believe I'll never see her lovely smile again and only a few days ago we were talking about Christmas. I wish you were nearby too x
I'm very sorry, jambutty, especially as you've lost your dad already. It's really tough.
Talk with friends, family, come on AB to chat. There's always someone here to help.
Those we love remain with us for love itself lives on, and cherished memories never fade because a loved one’s gone. Those we love can never be more that a thought apart. For as long there is a memory, they’ll live on in our hearts. - Author Unknown

I've been where younger when I lost my lovely dad 22 years ago but you learn to cope as hard as it seems now...
My thoughts are with you jam ((hug)) xx

It will be hard OG because we are not a big family, but thank you.
Imagine the love in that last look she gave you, scream and shout all you want, it's natural - there's no right or wrong in how we grieve.

I am so sorry for your loss, Jam. Peace be with you at this sad time.
I'm so sorry xx
Allow yourself to feel sad jam. Its the hardest day of your life and you will feel empty and desperate. Its understandable. Talk as much or as little as you want to on here and eventually you will manage an hour or two's sleep tonight, before dealing with all you have to deal with tomorrow. As OG says, one day ata time now.

I'm going now, I can't see for tears and I am a mess. Thank you again for your utter kindness. xx

I'll check in again tomorrow.
There's always someone here for you.x
