A weekend on the coast

I would like to spend a quiet weekend by the coast for nice walks, country pubs and a quaint B&B. Anybody have any recommendations that can be accessed by train from London?

Alnwick, Northumberland

A place called Hunstanton in East Anglia near the Wash. No train station there but it is near Kings Lynn that does have a train station.

Lovely town with lovely atmosphere. Right on the coast, looks West over the wash so you get great sunsets. Very flat so great for walking and a lovely coast round there (the North Norfolk coast is almost one long nature reserve)

I went to North Norfolk for the first time this year and fell in love with it.

Another North Norfolk town that DOES have a railway station is Sheringham. See here

This is on the North coast rather than Hunstanton that is on the West, but the North Norfolk coastal path runs right through the town.

There are some lovely towns, villages, pubs and beaches all along the North Norfolk coast, and it is completely unspoilt. Lots of bird sanctuaries, and you can see Seals nearby.

(I know I sound like a person from Norfolk tourist board, but in fact I live in Birmingham, I just found North Norfolk to be so quiet and unspoint, like England used to be 30 years ago).

Yes   I agree  with what's been said about Norfolk I've been many times,  also do you know  Walsinham the Shrine  plenty of nice walks and just 4 miles from wells on sea  plenty of good guest houses and great country pubs.

Also Alnwick is a winner  and from london GNER train from kings cross.

Some pubs do B&B, could be worth checking out. If you're into real ale have a look in the GBG.
