Becuase if a child doesn’t have any good adult relationships who are they going to look up to for reasurance / guidence? Thd kid will have no hope or trust in adults
spath - you misunderstood. Monique wants you to write an essay for her because she can't be bothered to write it herself.
>>>Explain why positive adult-child relationships are critical to social development.

Okay some of you didn't have to be rude I was just seeing other opinions and another thing it's not an essay if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all .
Well said monique ;) you tell em
Monique isn't just seeking an opinion, she never worded her OP as such.

It sounds like an exam or coursework.
Maybe by "opinion" Monique means a different insight or somewhere to start from or try to stem from.

There are no rules on AB regarding homework or essays
well you started with the rudeness Monique
I disagree. A question was asked, an answer isn't required. Nothing here breaks Site Rules
There was no question - it was an order. Explain.....
If you change your initial statement round to...

//Explain why negative adult-child relationships are detrimental to social development.//

...it makes it easier to see that, put simply - positivity is the best approach.
you have an amazing brain
Me ?

Not really.
I would say so personally but i'll take your word for it.
I can't see how it's not critical. Children learn from adults. In an ideal world they'll learn from good adults.
If a negative adult is a role model then the child will have a warped sense of right, wrong and positive, negative attitude. This could lead to social issues potentially making the child a bit of a bully or a bit more rough than the other kids

LadyCG- Like I said again this is not for an exam like I'm not demanding anyone to answer the question. If you don't like what I said then get off of my question and do something else better.
