My cousin recently had a son and named him George and my brother called his sons Thomas and Albert. It does seem the more traditional names are increasing in popularity for boys. As for the girls, I once met a woman called Sydney and strangely, she was married to a man called Kay. They were forever having official forms returned as being 'incorrectly completed'.
I have a little girl who we thought was going to be aboy. We wanted to call 'him' after our grandpa, his name was Ernest. Anyway when she turned out to be a girl we stayed with our plan and called her Ernestine (or you could have ernestina). Anyway, needless to say everyone calls her Ernie and it is really cute and very unusual. She is a little tom boy too!
If I had a boy I would love to have called him Bertie (or RObert, shortened to bertie), but i guess I wouldn't have been able to have bert and ernie!
I have a boy called Henry, and I just love that name, everso popular now tho (it wasn't when I chose it 10 years ago, everyone thought I was bonkers) I love all those old names too

My boy is (William) known as Bill - I love it. My only thoughts on any children's names are no sh or K/C names. I work in a school and there are so many Kyahs kians kyras shannons shane shanea - their mums obviously thought how unusual sounding and the when they got into school found out they weren't. Traditional names are very fashionable now (particularly for boys). If my boy had been a girl he was going to be (Catherine) known as Kitty or I liked Libby.
I love the name Libby, or Olivia, shortened to Liv. It's not that I want unusual names, there were enough of them at my school, I had on in my class called Sky and one calle Shaneyl! Just something that is pretty simple and quite traditional. My parents thought my name was pretty traditional (charlotte) but it gets shortened to Charlie like most name get shortnened :)
