It's a minimum sentence, she may well have to serve more.

she could well have got more, but I suppose whole-life sentences are kept for multiple murderers who then abuse corpses

Still not long enough imo Barry.
Can't remember how old she is, but she looks very young to me.
Could still lead a life when she comes out, if she comes out.
I didn't see how long the so called mother got. 8years! Just ridiculous.
I read somewhere that the baby's grandfather committed suicide after this happened.
Will see if I can find the article.

I thought that the death of another person because of what she did might be taken into account.
Hope she does bookbinder, but she looks a real hard case to me.
Hopefully she might retaliate and get further years added on to her sentence.

Thanks Barry. So, the Daddy reported the abuse.
What a shame he didn't apply for custody.
So many people reported the abuse and yet the poor little girl still lost her life.

It's certainly not enough for inflicting so much pain on that child. I can't imagine the pain she must have been in.
Maybe the mothers low IQ influenced the sentence?
