I was dating this guy and the beginning of the year he said let's get serious but I live quite a track from him and hasn't been able to meet also not been reading my messages when we talk about meeting up so I gave up for now. I'm so mad at myself for not making the effort with him so basically I realised now what I've lost and what could I do to get him back and try getting serious?

IMO love has no limits. distance , families , traditions , no such reason can stop you or him from loving each other IF its real. if he's not paying attention to you the way he should , I think it seems that he's getting cold , there might be a reason behind it, you should explore your relationship to find answers. Or basically he's giving up. if you know him as a real man , if what he said was true , then don't bother yourself , soon or late , he should come up with an answer. he should explain it. if he didn't. then you're probably over. loves like this doesn't make sense to me... he should do something...
