Cost Of Childcare

Ok l will probably open a can of worms here but free speech and all that. Why don’t women Stay At Home and look after their own children? They can go to work part time when the children go to school. Oh and if this means they are Losing Money by Not Going Back to Work……. If work and money are so important.. Don’t Have Children in the First Place if you Can’t Afford Them or Look After Them…..you are their Mother. They need their parents at such a young age, not random people in a childcare facility. Or go to work and Dad can look after them. If he needs to work…. I repeat Don’t Have Children if you Can’t Afford Them. Too much greed in the world.

But I think some expect to much to be given to them.... some of the protestors yesterday were saying its there right to have this that and the other gave to them

Thank you calmk and Yeoma. It breaks my heart to see tiny children no more than two, walking hand to the park or just for some fresh air, from their nursery, with their daycarers, without either of their parents, day after day, some are in the facility from 8am till 6pm. And some from six months old! They should be with their parents, either one, think what the parents are missing. Money always seems to come first in some peoples lives. And Yes, why should the Government pay?
Child benefit was a direct replacement of the tax allowance fathers got in their pay packet. It was thought that some wastrel, feckless fathers were spending the money in the pub or bookies and it would be better to let the mothers claim it directly.
How are parents supposed to pay in to their pensions if they are not working?
Why would any employer invest in younger employees knowing they could leave to have children, not to return for years?
Many children thrive in nursery/childcare from an early age and are better equipped to deal with schooling when the time comes.

Errr... I go to work to provide for my son so that he wants for nothing. He went to Nursery prior to starting school to help develop his social skills and to begin his education. He absolutely adored Nursery and most of the time couldn't wait to get inside to see what adventures were in store for him.
I don't think keeping a child at home where he interacts with no-one apart from his mother is really that healthy. My son is a confident, happy and very independent child. I believe (and certainly hope) he will go far in life.

What if you had a reasonable expectation of being able to afford them, but find that, after 11 years of Tory rule, your real wages have dropped, while the cost of living has risen exorbitantly?
I suppose the Government could set up child euthanasia centres where you could hand them in.

My father worked full time and my mother stayed home with me till I was five and went to school. Same with brothers and sisters, and we all had plenty of friends nearby whose mothers all stayed at home. Didn’t know of anyone farmed out into child care. Fathers worked. They paid tax. My husband worked all his life and paid taxes which pays for these down and outs who can’t be bothered to go to work. It also paid towards any child benefits I received. I stayed home with my son just like my mother did and worked part time when he started school at 5 years. Money isn’t everything. Children need their parents at a young age.
