How Can He Convince His Parents?
3 Answers
Referring to my previous question.
The guy is getting married within 2 months. His family has fixed his marriage with a girl they didn't like at the meeting (about 3 months ago). Everything got fixed yesterday and today he got to know about all this. His elder siblings are also not supportive. Their statement was "let him get married, he'll be sorted then".
The only thing that we are not able to engulf is, they didn't like the girl, and still they are ready to make her as their daughter-in-law. Maybe she'd from the same caste, that's why.
His parents also said "If you think we'd accept a love marriage, then forget about it. You don't want to marry this girl, no need to come home then, you're no-one for us." They don't know about me and this relationship.
But everything is fixed, and girl's father is insisting to save a date even before that.
The guy said "NO" in front of everybody in the meeting. Still nobody is giving a damn to that "NO".
How can he convince his parents and siblings to not go ahead with this girl?

The young man should make his own decisions about the person he wants to marry. He should not be bullied by his family into an arranged marriage. If that means losing his family, that would be better than living his life tied to a wife he did not choose and does not want.
I am aware, however, that the responses you would receive from other members of your own culture might not be in agreement with that view.
