Do You Think I Should Have Said Something When This Women Was Being Rude To My Co Worker?
I work for a commercial cleaning company. I've recently started working with an autistic man. He's 36. He's a sweet guy. He has a friend who calls him often during work. I don't why he just doesn't answer, but everytime she calls, he answers, and puts her on speakerphone so I have to hear it. She seems like a very matter of fact, and loud person. She called him when our shift started, and was talking about how her power whent out and how it was back on and what caused it. I wasn't really listening, but at one point he was telling her he needs to get back to work. I don't know if she said this because of that, but she was like "it makes me mad when you did that" he was like "im sorry, I'm not trying to be rude", and then I walked somewhere else, so I didn't hear the rest of the conversation. Idk, he really kind of gets on my nerves often, but I would never say that to him. I feel what she said was rude. Should I have said soemthing? Like "don't talk to him like that!" The whole thing was out of context, but like I said. I don't think there is any reason to talk to him like that.

This is a very personal thing, and also depends on the character/relationship concerned, so I would certainly not condem you with a retort of MYOB out of hand. Only you, with the more intimate knoweldge of the circumstances can really decide. Unfortunately we cannot decide for you, we can only provide an extra perspective which hopefully will help you. Good luck.
