I'm Leaving Everything Behind

I have been unemployed for over a year with no luck of finding new employment, I recently turned 30 and for most my life I have put other before myself. I have this nagging unwavering urge to just take my car and leave and never come back , I will be embarking with no money or plan but that is quite alright for some reason I feel content with my decision. What should I do?

Good for you! What you should do is win the lottery, then you'll be able to support yourself for the rest of your life. Otherwise, inject a bit of reality into your life and get yourself a job.

The problem with your plan is that it will be impossible to leave 'you' behind.

You will still have all your problems, worries, doubts and insecurities with the added burdens of being homeless and lonely.

Go to a homeless shelter and talk to the people there, ask how they got there. You would probably be joining them in a few weeks.

Why can't you get a job?  Take any job, or two or three part time jobs.  It is easier to get the job you want when you are employed. Or start your own business.

Plenty of jobs in the supermarkets at the moment or Royal Mail all recruiting for Christmas.

Find someone you want to take responsibilty of, you could be your own enemy but having someone you care for can divert your mind off of you, who knows you could be dependent on that person as well.
