I said I'd make a new thread earlier so like I explained in my other one. This guy I went on a date with 2 weeks ago and as I explained he said he wanted a 2nd we were meant to go out last Friday but he cancelled as he has a cold. He said on Sunday he would let me know if he wants to go out this week but said yesterday he has a cold but also hasn't been messaging me in the morning like he normally would
I suppose Barry when the right person comes along, but I never went looking for a right person. I had no intention of a steady relationship, marriage or a child but it happened. Married at 25 child at 36. Both came as a surprise. Never had a courtship or engagement. But 52 years later were still together through good times and bad times. I would have enjoyed a few more years of being single with no responsibilities.
Lottie, I don't usually join in on these never-ending posts, but I just caught the tail end of this one when you were asking
//What is it with younger folk these days, that they seem to be looking for relationships even on a first date. //
I don't think Abbey is all that young, I seem to think she is in her 30's.
My first marriage was at 25...it lasted about 8 years. Second marriage at 35...that lasted a bit longer!
Daughter has been with her partner since before 2010. That year they went off to work in Australia for a year. She recently told me that they'd not lived together before that...talk about taking a gamble! She is 38 and he is 41.
