Can You Be Fined For Emptying A Swimming...

Be honest. How many of you dust?
I have a cleaner now, but admit I hardly ever dusted.
In fact I hardly ever did much housework but did the jobs that involved hygiene.
Animals, a house with beams and a woodburner and an untidy husband . Why bother.?

Again in the spring when the sun shines through the windows and highlights the worst bits! Then again maybe sometime in the summer or autumn when it starts to get me down.
I clean bathroom and kitchen regularly but the rest of it is a rarity indeed.
Interesting! I have a house that is south-facing and so the second the sun makes an appearance, even in winter, it illuminates every spec of dust on every surface! Mainly the lounge. So the lounge is dusted as soon as I can see it, the bathroom is dusted and generally cleaned form head to toe weekly, the kitchen worktops are obv wiped down weekly. Bedrooms again as soon as I see dust it's wiped.
Dusting and polishing once every two weeks, pc and tv weekly
bathroom twice a week with once a deeper clean
Kitchen daily wipe down, units weekly, oven once every two months - actually a job for this week, I do put down alu-foil to help catch some of the fat....
Check the walls weekly for cobwebs and if there is any 'dew' - what with the mizzle that we have down here. Windows done by every two months.
My cleaner is lovely, but she was keen on looking for cobwebs and, to my horror killed the spiders. Because of it being a very old building and beamed there were many cobwebs. We have now come to an arrangement. She can get rid of their webs but spider killing is not allowed.
DTC. If my cleaner leaves I will offer you a Job. Mr Lottie is very good at cooking and clearing up, sorting out all the washing etc. Hoovering. But I don't think he knows what a duster is. Probably because I've rarely used one.
As for windows, we turn a blind eye. They probably get cleaned about once a year.
I do a big clean up...ie dust...when visitors are coming. Usually daughter. Regular tidying is done as and when I can manage it. Stiff back and knees have made it difficult lately. Windows...difficult when 3-4 floors up. Had a regular window cleaner when I was working...they did all the windows for the block. But were rubbish...drips everywhere. So I stopped them doing mine.
Back to dusting...I'm always shocked at how dusty the bathroom can get virtually over night....particularly if I've been showering my plants in there.
