Do problems of the past feel worse at the time?

I was looking back through my old posts, and something stuck out to me. They were all mostly about small problems that seemed big at the time. Something like 'Secret Problems'  is a good example. At the time, It seemed to be the end of all problems. But in hindsight, it was not at all a problem worth the severity I gave it.

Something else I noticed that wasn't apparent at the time was the connection to one big issue that was happening at the time. I won't discuss it now, but I will say that all my problems seem to magnify while that was going on. Is that common between other people? Small problems seeming worse when something bad is already happening?

Thanks!

Yes, problems which seem so large at the time do pale into insignificance as time passes by.

Some things lose significance with time - my "people to kill before I die" list is somewhat shorter!

Sounds about right; both for the environment moulding your view at the time, and the ability to accept the past and put it into perspective.  Knowing this is so may help you to react more appropriately to future incidents.

You made progress then dave ?

one or two reprieved, others already died
