my fiance was attacked
4 Answers
by his x wife and her new husband, i'm not going to go into big details but my fiance told his x that the costume she made for their daughters beach theme party was dangerous as she had stapled garlands to it and they were digging in all day and has cut their little girl.
she then went off on one so he started walking out as he didnt wanna row as the girls were there, she followed him and attacked him, he pushed her away and she went back at him again, her new husband barged past me and attacked my fiance also, i was getting the girls away as they had heard/ seen it and was screaming for their dad, i then had to leave the girls to get his x off him and tell him to break away and walk out which he did
when i had settled the girls into bed and they were asleep i left. she screamed she was gonna call the police so about an hour later we had a visit from the police and they basically said we only want your events as she has dramatised everything and was putting a big show on, sitting in the middle of the floor crying and screaming etc. when we told them they laughed and said to avoid each other basically. the only one who has injuries is my fiance
my fiance has a cut on his nose and the bridge of his nose is bruised do you think he should ring the police and tell them incase she tries it again and tries to pin it on him

If so I wouldn't worry too much about it unless you want to press charges. My boyfriends ex used to constantly try and have him arrested for all sorts of things but the police knew her and knew that she was nuts so only ever went through the motions of questioning him because they have to follow up on a complaint, they never seemed to have any concerns that it wasn't him telling the truth.
If they were laughing about it they must have been able to tell the ex was talking b@llocks so I wouldn't worry. But , like I say, if you do actually want to press charges against the man there is nothing to stop you, they would pay more attention to a complaint made by the injured party.
I'm not a lawyer though so don't take me to court if I'm wrong!

thanks for the advice, my fiance has a few cousins in the police force so he called them yesterday and asked what he should do, they both said to go to doctors asap and get the injuries in your medical file, incase they try it again, rung emergency doctor and he told us to go to minor injury unit which we did and he has a badly swollen and bruised nose, they also dont do x rays on nose injuries unless it feels like your eye sockets/ cheekbones have moved place which the doctor didnt think so.
she is a total nutter and my fiance's cousin thinks if she tries it again because of the injuries that were sustained to my fiance they will think she is reporting it to cover her back which is the only reason she did it in the first place as she was scared he'd report it, what a waste of police time

We had a similar prob, my husbands ex sent her new hubby round to our house with the 2 children and then started to yell at my husband and told him he was "gonna knock his f***ing head off" this was in front of my step-children and our own child ages varying between 2 and 11, inevitably i spent the rest of the night with the eldest girl comforting her, and her mother even had the Gall to call her and ask how she was.
After this incident we went to the solicitors to get this sorted because as i'm sure you feel the same way didn't want this to happen again, it ended up with nothing getting resolved and her using this opportunity to slag us off, i think some people just aren't happy unless they're upsetting someone elses life.
Hope you get the situation sorted, good luck
